Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage
  PreviousNext

What Is Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage?

Medicare prescription drug coverage is insurance that helps lower prescription drug costs and protects enrollees against high drug costs in the future.

PhotoPlans offer a range of prescription drug coverage to suit different needs. However, all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans must provide at least the standard level of coverage determined by Medicare.

Key features of the coverage are shown below. We will be looking at each of these points in more detail during this presentation.

Medicare prescription drug coverage:

  • Is available to everyone with Medicare
  • Helps people pay for the prescriptions they need
  • Pays for brand name and generic drugs
  • Provides extra help for those who need it most

The cost of coverage depends on the plan enrollees choose. However, extra help with prescription drug costs is available for people with limited income and resources.
