Depending on where a person with Medicare lives, he or she may have a choice of Medicare health plan options in addition to the Original Medicare Plan. These plans include Medicare Advantage and other Medicare Health Plans.

Medicare Advantage plans:

  • Provide care under contract to Medicare
  • May reduce out-of-pocket expenses for persons with Medicare
  • Sometimes offer additional benefits
