Medicare Eligibility
In order to qualify for Medicare based on ESRD, you must require regular
dialysis or a kidney transplant and:
- Have worked the required amount of time under the Social Security
Administration (SSA) or Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) or as a Federal
Government employee,
OR
- Have received or are receiving SSA or RRB cash benefits, OR
- Be the spouse or dependent child of a person who either worked the
required amount of time or is receiving SSA or RRB cash benefits
