The
Medicare Card
If a person
is enrolled in the Original Medicare Plan, he or she will use the red,
white, and blue Medicare card when obtaining services and supplies from
providers.
Jane Doe's card indicates that she has Medicare Part A and Part B.
The letter at the end of her Medicare claim number (in this case an A)
shows whether or not she receives Social Security benefits and the type
of benefits she receives.
The back of her card includes instructions for using the card.
It
is important to protect this Medicare card (and number) as if it were
a credit card. |
