Welcome to the Medicare for People With End-Stage Renal Disease lesson.
Medicare provides health care coverage to people with ESRD even if they
are under age 65. Medicare
enrollees with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) increased from just under
67,000 in 1980 to 292,000 in 2000, an increase of 435%.
This
lesson provides an overview of Medicare coverage for people who qualify
based on ESRD. After completing this lesson, you will be able
