A math formula: Spouse/Widow(er) Benefit - (2/3 X Government Pension)=Monthly Social Security Check

If the Government Pension Offset applies, the offset will reduce that person's Social Security spouse or widow(er) benefit by two-thirds of the amount of his or her government pension.
