CSRS Offset Employees and the Government Pension Offset |  |  |
One difference between CSRS Offset employees and regular CSRS employees is that if a CSRS Offset employee becomes entitled to Social Security spousal benefits, those benefits will not be subject to the Government Pension Offset (GPO).
The GPO does not apply to any spousal benefits of employees who retire under CSRS Offset rules.
